Shoppers say Skechers suede and faux fur boots are ‘very comfortable’

If you’ve ever come home after a day on your feet and wished your boots felt like slippers, you’re not alone. But the Skechers Women’s On-The-Go Joy boots are not only perfect for winter, they’re also being described by shoppers as just as comfy as a pair of trainers. Right now, the Boots are on sale at MandM Direct for £44.99, down from £69.00 in the black and charcoal colours.

They also come in a beige and cream colourway, similarly on sale, but for £49.99.

The boots are durable enough for everyday wear, but are built with comfort in mind thanks to their memory-foam insole, a cushioned mid-sole that offers support and have a lightweight build, and are made from real suede and with soft faux fur trim.

Though they have a slight wedge heel, it’s not so high that it’ll be difficult to walk. The boots come to just above the ankle and are easy to pull on and off. I’d pair them with jeans or even tights and skirts. 

However, the boots’ comfort has received some of the highest praise. In a review, a shopper said: “The boots are very comfy and warm. At the same time, they aren’t heavy, which is a great advantage. I highly recommend them.” 

Another customer added: “I’ve worn these a lot, mostly when I need to walk a lot on errands or am in a rush. They are so comfortable, like trainers, but also keep your ankles warm. So far, they seem adequately water-proof, durable, and versatile; go with trousers, leggings, and skirts.”

They are available in sizes three to eight and have a rating of 4.6 stars out of five on MandM Direct. They are also available on Amazon, where they go up to a size 9. Based on over 8,000 reviews, they have a customer satisfaction rating of 4.5 stars out of five, though only the black pair currently price-matches MandM Direct at £44.99. 

That said, not everyone thought they were perfect. “The shoes feel great at first, but after a few months, the memory-foam insole lost its bounce and the heel started to rub,” said one user review. 

Many reviewers say they are true to size. However, if your feet are wider than average or you wear orthotics, you may need to consider sizing up. While most reviews say the initial comfort is fine, some users suggest the cushioning may soften over time, so consider using an insole replacement down the line if you buy them for extensive walking.
