Olay has launched its first ever makeup-friendly sun cream that delivers high-performance sun protection without compromising your glow. The new SPF50+ Brighten & Glow Vitamin C Moisturising Fluid is a three-in-one skincare staple offering an instant glow, anti-dark spot action and 24-hour hydration.
The formula is dermatologist-approved by the Skin Health Alliance and for a limited time, it is available for half-price at £13 on Boots and Amazon and if you are an Amazon Prime member, you can get it even cheaper at £12.35 instead of £26. To sign up for Prime, you can click here and try it for free for 30 days.
With one in six women avoiding sun cream due to its interference with makeup (think tiny flakes on the skin and uneven patches), Olay has created a formula powered by vitamin C, niacinamide and pro-vitamin B5 to boost your glow while leaving no white cast.
Shoppers can use it as a primer as base before applying makeup, making it a smooth canvas while ensuring your skin stays protected throughout the day. One influencer who got early access to test the product last year shared her thoughts: “I’m taking a sizeable pump here and put it on my hand and I just want to show you how quickly it absorbs into my skin, all the whiteness is gone. For my girlies of colour, we know how difficult it is to find an SPF with no white cast and the beautiful thing is it’s left a slight glow without being too sticky.”
Reviews are yet to pour in but in the description, it mentioned that the Olay SPF50+ Moisturising Fluid features a “light and refreshing citrus fragrance” to provide a pleasant sensory experience. This might be a concern for shoppers who are sensitive with fragrance or those who prefer ‘fragrance-free’ products.
Similarly, Trinny London’s See The Light SPF50 Moisturiser is also a lightweight face cream packed with skincare benefits and I recently used it during my sun-drenched holiday for three weeks, you can read my review here and it’s available to purchase at £46.
For a tinted glow, shoppers can try Ultra Violette’s SPF50+ Future Fluid, a sheer mineral sun cream with slight tint and SpaceNK is selling it at £38.
