Fair isle jumper from Weird Fish that is perfect for winter is reduced

As cosy season sets in and the days get cooler, a knitted sweater with a colourful pattern offers the perfect casual wear and one particular design from Weird Fish has winter fashion fans comparing it to ‘wearing a hug’.

They are available in lots of sizes, from 8 to 22, and feature a round neck with small roll, as well as ribbed cuffs. Fair Isle jumpers are traditional Scottish sweaters characterised by intricate and multicoloured geometric patterns, originating from the Shetland island of Fair Isle.

They are known for their cosiness and warmth and have become a popular style in women’s winter fashion. Weird Fish said its Lowell jumper has a Scandanavian twist and is “inspired our time in Norway”. Made from an acrylic and polyester mix, it is soft to the touch and can be washed in the machine at 30 degrees.

Marks and Spencer also has an attractive option. Its Boucle Fair Isle Relaxed Jumper With Wool is £36. Knitted from a textured boucle yarn with a touch of wool, it has added stretch in the fabric for extra comfort and can also be washed in a machine.

One five star review of the Weird Fish jumper said that when they put it on it was “like wearing a hug”.  They wrote: “Gorgeous sweater. Good quality, good fit and cosy to wear. It’s like wearing a hug.”

Another said: “Lovely jumper. True to size (mine was 14 and just as expected size wise). Soft fabric, cosy and warm, good fit, colour. Lovely soft turquoise. Would buy again.”

A customer said the colour of their jumper was not quite what they expected, but they were happy overall. “The blue is a bit darker than the picture, but still very nice,” they wrote.
