
Christmas is just a few weeks away and many of us will be getting our cards and presents ready. But with loved ones often spread out across the country, the postal service will be relied upon.
There are many different postal services you can use, and they all have different final dates to get parcels delivered for the big day. To get cards and gifts to your friends and family in time for Christmas, all companies are urging people to post as early as possible. You also need to bare in mind that different addresses many have different last post dates.
DPD
DPD has three different services – Next Day, Two Day and Gold. Each of these services has different last Christmas postal dates for the UK.
If you are planning to use DPD Next Day and Next Day by 12, the last recommended posting date is Monday, December 22. However, for deliveries heading to postcodes AB36-Ab38, FK17-FK21, IV1-IV62, KA27, KW1-KW14, PA20-PA33, PA35-PA38, PH19-PH50, they should be posted by Saturday, December 20.
IV63 and KA28 postcodes should be sent out by Friday, December 19 and HS1-HS9, KW15-KW17, PA34, PA41-PA48, PA80, ZE1-ZE3 by Wednesday, December 17.
DPD Two Day post for postcodes AB36-AB38, FK17-FK21, IV1-IV62, KA27, KW1-KW14, PA20-PA33, PA38, PH19-PH50 needs to be sent by Saturday, December 20.
DPD Gold’s last recommended posting date is Tuesday, December 23, which is DPD’s very final option in order to get parcels to their destination for Christmas.
Evri
Parcel delivery company Evri has two options to send post – Standard Tracked and Next Day Tracked. They both have different recommended posting dates for Christmas.
Evri Standard Tracked’s last date is Friday, December 19 and Next Day Tracked is Monday, December 22.
Parcelforce
Parcelforce’s last recommended posting date for Worldwide express48 is Friday, December 19. Their Worldwide express24. expressAM and express10 services should be used by Monday, December 22, if you want the parcel to arrive before Christmas.
Royal Mail
Royal Mail has five different options to post parcels, with each of them having its own last posting date. Second Class and Second Class Signed For should be sent by Wednesday, December 17.
First Class or First Class Signed For needs to be sent by Saturday, December 20, while Tracked 24 is Monday, December 22 and Tracked 48 is Friday, December 19.
Their Special Delivery Guaranteed service is Royal Mail’s last option, with the recommended posting date as Tuesday, December 23.
