Festive romcom season is officially upon us, with Netflix releasing several new Christmas films including A Merry Little Ex-Mas starring Alicia Silverstone and Champagne Problems with Minka Kelly and Tom Wozniczka.

The latter film is already being described as “one of the best Christmas movies”, with Netflix viewers taking to social media to share their love for the new film. 

The synopsis for Champagne Problems reads: “A driven American exec heads to Paris determined to acquire a champagne brand by Christmas – and accidentally falls for the heir to the bubbly empire.”

“I’m not really into christmas movies, but i’m into whatever Minka Kelly is on so i just watched #ChampagneProblems on Netflix and absolutely LOVED it,” one fan wrote on social media, while another exclaimed: “Champagne Problems on Netflix has to be one of the best Christmas movies I’ve seen in a long time. Absolutely loved it.”

Fans are bound to recognise Minka from plenty of shows and films over the years, so let’s take a closer look at her life on and off-screen.

Minka Kelly has been romantically linked to partner Dan Reynolds since 2022.

Dan is best known for being a founding member of the pop rock band Imagine Dragons, which formed back in 2008.

The group are responsible for hit songs like Radioactive, Demons and Thunder.

Minka and Dan were first spotted together in LA in November 2022 and have been photographed together many times since. 

In July 2024, Dan revealed to PEOPLE that they had been introduced by a mutual friend and spoke for a month over the phone before meeting up.

He also shared that his children ‘love’ Minka, telling the publication: “The kids really love Minka and really love their mom, and that’s okay. We view it as kind of bonuses to the family: more people to love, more people to help.

“We’ve just been really careful with that and slow with navigating how to bring Minka in to that conversation. She’s done a really incredible job of being sensitive and careful on her end as well.”

Dan shares four children with his ex-wife, Aja Volkman: daughter Arrow, son Valentine and twin girls Gia and Coco.

Minka Kelly has appeared in several high-profile shows and films, most recently fronting Netflix’s new Western romance series Ransom Canyon.

She is also widely recognised for her role as Lyla Garrity on sports drama series Friday Night Lights.

Her film credits include 500 Days of Summer, The Roommate, Searching for Sonny, The Butler and Just Go With It.

Meanwhile, she also had recurring roles in the NBC series Parenthood, the ABC revival of Charlie’s Angels, HBO drama series Euphoria and DC Universe series Titans on Max.
