When we discovered Amazon customers had been singing the praises of a self-heating hoodie that features a built-in unique foil layer for warmth, we dashed to the online retailer to investigate the excitement.
The Silentnight Heat Genie self heating oversized blanket hoodie, which costs £20, functions by employing a distinctive heat-reflecting foil layer that bounces warmth back to the person wearing it, meaning no electricity is needed.
It features a cosy sherpa fleece lining for additional snugness, while also providing practical elasticated sleeves making it perfect for pottering about indoors, reports the Liverpool Echo.
The hoodie has a spacious pocket at the front which is brilliant for storing a 3pm treat or for warming hands during chilly weather.
Available in one size, in a neutral grey shade, the hoodie’s ideal for throwing on over various loungewear, pyjamas, and leggings.
Over at Amazon, it’s proving popular with customers. One noted: “Soft, good fit and very warm. Will get great use of this indoors during the winter months. Would recommend.” Another person added: “Brilliant I love it. Feels like I’m wearing a hug. Easy to wash and dry.”
