Aldi issues update on closure of 1,000 stores this week

Supermarket chain Aldi has sent an urgent reminder to its customers in the run up to the New Year, reminding them of its operating hours. The supermarket closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day to give its colleagues a well earned rest with their loved ones.

Stores across the UK reopened to the public over the weekend, and will remain open until New Year’s Eve. For those looking to stock up on everything they need to ring in the New Year, make sure to visit your local Aldi store by 6pm on Wednesday, December 31. Aldi confirmed that after this time, stores will then be closing again until Friday, January 2.

Stores will open during the following hours this week, but customers are advised to check local store hours online for any variations:

  • Monday, December 29 and Tuesday, December 30: stores will be open from 8am to 8pm
  • Wednesday, December 31: stores will be open from 8am to 6pm
  • Thursday, January 1: stores will be closed
  • Friday, January 2: stores will be open from 8am to 10pm

You can find the hours of your local store via Aldi’s Store Locator here.
