We’re now well into November, and with temperatures set to fall even more as we move deeper into winter, a good pair of boots is a must for every winter wardrobe. If you’re looking for a comfortable design that will also keep your feet toasty and dry, you can grab a pair of Regatta boots that tick all the boxes for less than £30 at Debenhams.
The Risley boots from Regatta, known for its weatherproof outerwear, are currently £26.70 at Debenhams, discounted from £30. That’s even cheaper than Regatta’s own current discounted price of £30, down from £50 – so the boots really are a steal.
Available in three versatile colours – black, a chocolate brown and a camel brown – the shoes are still available in sizes three to seven across all designs, with only size 8 out of stock at the time of writing. They end above the ankle, and have a foam insole for extra support and comfort. They’re also lined with soft faux fur to keep your feet warm as you walk around.
The brand also claims the boots are waterproof, as they are made out of moulded PVC that protects them from rain and splashes. If you’re worried about slips, they also feature a cleated sole with angled lugs that provide extra grip. Additionally, they slip on and off with ease, eliminating the need for zippers and laces.
The Regatta boots bear a striking resemblance to the classic Uggs women’s boot. However, given that the Ugg boots currently cost £185, the Regatta boots are a far more affordable alternative.
Shoppers online praised the boots for their comfort, with one saying: “These boots are soooo comfortable. They are fur lined and really do keep your feet warm. I’m a size 6 and they fit perfectly with thick socks.”
Another shopper, who got the boots in the sale, wrote: “Fabulous boots! Very comfortable and the soles are lovely and flat. Not chunky at all, so it makes them very comfortable to wear.”
Others confirmed the boots are waterproof, with one five-star review saying: “These are lovely and snuggly and kept my feet nice and dry on a very wet walk.”
A second reviewer, who bought the boots in grey, agreed, writing: “Waterproof is a bonus and has been tested in puddles and a small stream.”
The same shopper said: “Only downside of the waterproofing is the compromise on breathability, these boots get very sweaty if worn for long periods”. They also knocked a star off as the boots “can be uncomfortable walking over rocks”.
It’s essential to note that the specific boots aren’t marketed as walking boots, so shoppers who prefer more intense winter walks may need to consider a pair of boots specifically designed for that purpose. Luckily, Regatta offers boots specifically designed for hiking and nature walks, which can be found by here.
