Cult Beauty shoppers save up to 75% with Christmas gift sets

The run-up to Christmas is a great time to stock up on presents, and beauty enthusiasts are spoilt for choice this year. The market is full of great skincare and beauty gift options, and whether you’re looking to treat yourself or surprise a loved one, it’s a great time to score some great deals on luxury products.

Cult Beauty has a range of curated gift sets in time for the season, but three of my favourites include the best-selling edits, each containing a selection of Cult Beauty’s most loved products.

The Bold Edit and the Ultimate Holiday Edit include a mix of skincare and makeup favourites, at different price points. For the more advanced skincare fans, there is also the Supreme Edit, which is packed with mini versions of luxury products.

Each gift set comes packed in a box and contains a mix of full-sized products and minis, perfect for travelling or trying out new brands without committing to full-size products or the full price tag.

The most affordable option of the three, the Bold Beauty Edit is £35 and contains six full-sized hair, skin and makeup products that will help you add the perfect finishing touches to your look. According to Cult Beauty, buying the products separately would cost over £150, so getting the gift box can save shoppers 70%.

Starting with complexion, the kit includes a 40ml bottle of Naked Sundays Mineral Glow Serum Drops in the shade Cabana Glow. This is a tinted serum sunscreen with SPF 50, packed with skin-brightening extracts and pigments designed to even out and hydrate skin while protecting it from the sun. It can be worn alone or mixed with foundation to add a luminous finish.

There’s also a tube of Iconic London’s Sheer Blush, a liquid, buildable formula that can be used to add some colour and glow to the cheeks and lips. The shade in this edit, Rose Riot, is sold out on the brand’s website.

Not forgetting the lips, there’s also a tube of Too Faced Lip Injection Extreme lip plumper, which helps lips appear fuller, and a lip liner by Anastasia Beverly Hills in the versatile neutral brown shade Hazelnut.

There are also two hair products to ensure your hair isn’t left out. There is a 30ml bottle of OLAPLEX No. 3 Hair Perfector, a once-a-week treatment enhanced with the brand’s Bond Building Technology that helps restore dry ends. Finally, to help with styling, there is a 50ml bottle of Philip Kingsley Frizz Fighting Gloss, which helps protect hair from heat, fight frizz, and make it softer and fuller.

One shopper commented: “Great value, interesting products. Waiting to use it all.”

This is a great option for shoppers on a budget, as it gets you a good variety of products at a very affordable price.

Shoppers can also get big savings on this £70 set, as it contains products worth over £270. This means you can save 75% on seven full-sized skincare and makeup bestsellers, and a satin sleep mask that comes in a drawstring bag.

Inside there are some skincare products that can be added to any skincare routine, including a toner, serum, face oil and sunscreen.

There is a 200ml bottle of Medik8’s Press and Glow Tonic, a gentle toner that uses enzymes to exfoliate dead skin cells while soothing the skin with aloe vera. There’s also an anti-pollution face mask by MZ Skin, infused with vitamin C to help hydrate and banish dullness, along with a Kate Somerville KateCeuticals Supercell Rejuvenation Serum that promises to help with skin elasticity.

The set also includes a 15ml Biossance Squalane and Vitamin C Rose Oil, designed to brighten the complexion and rebalance texture and tone. To top it all off, there’s a 50ml bottle of Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Dew Shield, a lightweight sunscreen with SPF30.

For the perfect no-makeup-makeup glow, the Ultimate Holiday Edit also includes a Laneige lip balm, a Benefit brow gel and a buildable cream blush by Sweed.

A Cult Beauty shopper who has already bought the set, said: “I like the mix of products in here, I feel like this is one to get if there’s enough that you’ll either definitely use or already use…There are some great brands, the Medik8 toner is excellent and so is the brow gel and serum.”

A second shopper, who bought both this and the Supreme edit, said: “I felt more excited seeing the contents [of this edit] than the Supreme one, as it contains more full sizes. I’m most interested in the Kate Somerville serum.”

This gift edit is on the pricier side, but it’s amazing value for fans of luxury skincare brands who might be hesitant about committing to full sizes. It’s worth £420 but can be yours for £90, saving over 75% in value.

Inside the Supreme edit, skincare enthusiasts can find seven products from luxury brands including serums and creams. Considering prices for the full-sized versions of each product individually range from £90 to £240, the set is a great way to try them for a fraction of the price. There are two full-size products, but the rest are special mini versions that have been put together for this edit.

There is a 50ml foam cleanser by La Prairie to start you off with a clean canvas, but the serums are the stars of the show. You get a full-sized 30ml Zelens Power D Fortifying and Restoring Serum, which aims to strengthen the skin barrier, and a 15ml Bioeffect EGF Serum, which also comes in a full size.

There are also two deluxe-sized 5ml serums: Vintner’s Daughter Active Botanical Serum, a blend of 22 botanicals that targets pigmentation, fine lines, and loss of elasticity (it normally costs £205 per 30ml), and 111SKIN’s Repair Serum NAC Y2, which aims to target texture and firm the skin.

The most expensive product in the Supreme edit is a 7ml pot of The Ultimate Soothing Cream by Augustinus Bader, which usually retails for £240 in its full size. This moisturiser

To complete the lineup, Omorovicza offers a travel-sized 10ml body serum. This serum uses ingredients normally found in face serums to help hydrate the body.

Skincare fans who went for this edit were mostly happy with the selection, especially the full-size products.

One said: “Fantastic value. Bought it mainly because I was nearly out of the EGF serum so the extra products were a huge bonus, especially the full size serums and La Prairie premium product. Some products are merely samples but overall a bargain given the ideal opportunity to test out other items.”

Another said they got it to save on specific products: “I got this for the EGF serum, I love that serum and edits are always cheaper if you’re going to buy it anyway. That said, the other products in here are great and although a lot are very small the two full sizes do make it worthwhile as long as you use at least one of them.”

They concluded: “I think this is great value but not for everyone.”

A third review shared the sentiment, but found the set pricy, saying: “Worth the price for the full size serums. The other products are samples but nice selection to try. Wish it had been a bit less expensive as [it’s] not as good price wise as other edits but you still save against the price of the full sizes.”

There were also shoppers who were disappointed with the selection, with one saying: “Lots of sample sizes. Was looking forward to this edit but meh it’s not great.”

Unless you have your eye on a specific product, the other two gift boxes might be better suited for shoppers on a budget.
