A beautiful island has been praised for its “powdery white sand beaches” and its “vibrant turquoise waters”, being branded a “hidden piece of paradise” with an eclectic mix of wildlife.

Staniel Cay is a small island located in the Exuma Cays, which is a district of The Bahamas.

One travel pro has praised one of the islands in particular, Staniel Cay, due to its seamless blend of adventure and tranquility.

Mikki Tenazas is a travel content creator who has amassed more than 1.5 million followers on TikTok, as well as 16.8 million likes across a medley of videos showcasing his exploits around the world.

In a recent video, the globetrotter lauded Staniel Cay and said he’s still not “over” his experience there.

The footage shows a string of enviable encounters from standing in sparkling, clear waters surrounded by nurse sharks and relaxing on a vast, white sand beach, to paddling with pigs and indulging in exciting boat rides against a stunning backdrop.

In the caption accompanying the video recap, Mikki penned: “Just can’t get over our trip to Staniel Cay in the Bahamas. Staniel Cay is a small island in the Exuma Cays, located about 75 miles southeast of Nassau.

“It’s known for its powdery white sand beaches, vibrant turquoise waters, and laid-back charm. From here, you can easily explore some of the Bahamas’ most famous spots – like @3Ns Elite Pig Beach Adventure, where you can swim with the world-famous pigs, Compass Cay for nurse shark encounters, Bitter Guana Cay with its protected rock iguanas, and sandbanks that appear and disappear with the tides.”

He added: “This place felt like a hidden piece of paradise – can’t wait to share more soon!”
